Description of the self catering property
From our collection of Dream Dorset cottages, Advantage Point is a spacious holiday cottage and is located in a prime part of Dorset countryside offering lovely views towards Lulworth Cove. Set in its own grounds in an elevated position, Advantage Point is surrounded by sloping terraces and lawns. Advantage Point in Lulworth Cove offers wonderful walks across the hills to the various bays or a lazy amble down into the cove itself. Village Inns and shops are all within walking distance of the property. The property itself offers you a peaceful and relaxing setting. Sit out on the dining terrace at night with a glass of wine, toast the magnificent views and enjoy some of Dorset's most outstanding countryside.Best Features

| Cottage Review:
Well furnished and equipped. Great location for the local shop, pubs and restaurants, also for walking to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. The outdoor deck area with table and views was great. However the plumbing system in the house was a big problem. Had been concerned when booking, whether one shower and one bath for up to 10 people would be sufficient anyway, but shower did not work properly and couldn't get hot water in the upstairs bath, this was a major issue for us all on a summer holiday. We complained and it was dealt with very efficiently - someone was sent to check the problems that day. A new electric shower unit was installed the next day, along with two sets of taps that had not been working and 10 missing/failed light bulbs were replaced. Even after this, it was not easy to get water from any tap at a good hot temperature without it being scaldingly hot. Not impressed with cleanliness, inside of the picture windows were covered in sticky finger marks spoiling the lovely view and lots of fluff/object found under the sofas when we moved. We were offered a discount to compensate for all the problems. |
