Ashridge, Lynbridge House, Lynway, Lynton, Devon, EX35 6AX

Oh my word, we had such a fabulous time down in North Devon, visiting the Lynton and Lynmouth area for the first time. Not only is the local area a delight with plenty of scenic walks, rivers, hills, moorland and beaches, but there is a vast array of cafes, pubs and restaurants. We were lucky to have the most beautiful weather which certainly enhanced our stay.

Onto the accommodation and the apartment was simply gorgeous. Paul and Wendy have done a lovely job offering style, comfort and amenity. Geared to make your stay as relaxed as possible, we had two double rooms (a very generous king sized bed and an extremely spacious twin), two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with all mod cons, a sizeable TV which pleased the boys, and of course the all important WiFi for anyone travelling with teens. We couldn?t have asked for anything more. Paul and Wendy were the most friendly and welcoming of hosts, I enjoyed our daily chats and followed up of many of their excellent recommendations. Seeing their lovely dog Milo was an added advantage too.

In short, we had an amazing stay at Ashridge, and look forward to revisiting soon, maybe without the kids so we can stay in their other apartment which looked just as fabulous!

This apartment is new, clean and in a sublime setting above the hill town of Lynton. The views of the valley and huge hills in this area are incredible from the flat. Beautiful costal, river and woodland walks from the apartment and a short drive to beautiful bays to swim in. We swam at Heddon?s Mouth looking up at glorious hills and blue sky. Walked up Summerhouse Hill and along the South Cliff with breathtaking views of the sea and Valley of the Rocks. It is a short walk down to the town of Lynton and further down to the coastal town of Lynmouth with lovely seaside gift shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We had a fantastic trip.
