| Cottage Review:
This was the first stop on our road trip. We wanted a bit more space and this looked perfect. In reality it was awful. The minute we opened the door we were hit by an overwhelming smell of damp / mould/ dirty - take your pick! The soft furnishings all need replacing, sofa?s, carpets, towels, they all smell mouldy, as if the house has been locked up for months. The kitchen is very dirty, every cupboard and handle is covered in a layer of grease/grime. The bathroom was okay and it is in a good location but I would not recommend or return. I also think Sykes cottages need to do more spot checks as this cannot be the type of standard they want to be associated with. |
