These are the comments I wrote when requested by Sykes Cottages to give an input after our stay. Sykes Cottages is the booking agent for the owner.

"I'm reluctant to say this but I was so disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Cobwebs in kitchen, living room, main bedroom & double bedroom. Both toilet vents covered in thick dust. Radiator in ensuite has years of accumulated dust. Placemats and coasters grubby. Both couches are extemely grubby also with accumulated food down the sides and seams. Skirting boards in each room were in need of a good scrub. I have taken photographs just in case my comments are disputed. Given we're living through a pandemic I was astonished. To the positive. Great contained garden for small dog. Very secure and well maintained. Great location and very quiet. Short walk to the lovely beach. Very well equippedd kitchen and plenty of towels and bed linen. The afternoon tea was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. In summary, we arrived in the evening so I didn't see the true condition of the house until the next day. I was going to call the number left in case of problems, but I couldn't live with having to move back out for the hours it would have taken to bring it up to the necesssary standard. I felt the late check in of 4.00pm and early check out of 10.00am was extreme. All problems are easily dealt with and if the house was given a much needed deep ckean it would be a gem of a place".

I was asked to send the photographs bhy Sykes Cottage which I have done. Since then I have been offended, insulted and threatened with legal action!!!

I should have called the number left in the property for any problems but as mentioned where were we to go on a wet, cold winter with our dog, gven the Covid restrictions in place?

An absolute disgrace. I've been adviced to now make Trading Standards aware.
