Description of the self catering
Charlton Lodge holiday cottage is about a mile from Mawnan Smith, along a pretty tree-lined lane in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a detached lodge to a splendid country house with fantastic uninterrupted sea views, surrounded by 6 acres of level gardens and grounds with large wildlife pond (5' deep) and fountain pool (both unfenced). You have your own sunny patio (furniture) and lawn, and are welcome to enjoy some of the grounds (abundant wildlife), from the secret garden, sheltered by tall hedges, to the field leading to the coastal footpath (unspoilt Prisk Cove, 1/3 mile) and picnic table with fabulous views over Falmouth Bay.
From the lane, sweeping drive up to the Charlton Lodge holiday home; hall and living/dining room with long, lovely garden/sea views, woodburner, TV/DVD and French windows to garden; oak fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, fridge-freezer, microwave); two bedrooms, a double (5' four-poster bed) with sea view next to a smart bathroom (suite), and a twin (footboards) with en suite shower-room (suite). External door to coat/boot drying room. No children under 10. A great chill-out place for peace and quiet at any time of year.

Just returned from 7 days at this stunning property. Set in a beautiful location. The property is extremely well presented & caters for your every need. The extensive gardens are extremely well maintained and has beautiful views over looking the coastal waters of Falmouth. The owners are very friendly & helpful. Definitely a property we will be returning to in the future. |

Idyllic location with unspoilt views of a beautiful garden and the sea. The property was very well equipped with everything you would need to make your holiday 1st class. Our host was very helpful and thank you for our cake, on arrival. Certainly a place to back to! |
