| Cottage Review:
This lodge is well worth a holiday visit. It comfortably holds 4 adults and 2 children and has everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and has sufficient crockery, cutlery for 6 , cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer and the decking and BBQ are very useful.It is clean and has comfortable beds, is warm and in a peaceful and quiet setting. The play equipment was very welcomed by grandchildren and the small shop on site had basics but there are more food shopping places in Troutbeck Bridge and Windermere. The access to the lakeside is good with picnic tables and dont miss Brockholes, an easy walk and excellent adventure facilities, especially the Tree Top Treck. The house and gardens there are lovely. We enjoyed our time at the lodge and will not hesitate to return. A boat trip on the lake from either Ambleside or Brockholes is very pleasant. |
