Description of the self catering
Keeper’s Cottage, a former shooting lodge located in High Grains’ farmstead, has been thoughtfully restored and can comfortably accommodate four adults and two children. Access is via a well-maintained, two-mile-long, unsurfaced lane. With your own conservatory, garden and sheltered decking area you can enjoy spectacular views to Scotland and the Lakeland fells.Best Features
The Enjoy England 5 star rated Keeper’s Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore Hadrian’s Wall, the Lakes, and the Scottish Borders, or the perfect spot to simply relax and enjoy the clear Atlantic air. A mile from the nearest neighbour but only nine miles from Brampton, a busy market town.

| Cottage Review:
A five star holiday: staying at Keepers Cottage was a delight. The cottage is spacious, immaculately clean, and has an extremely well appointed kitchen (cooker, microwave, fridge andfreezer and a dishwasher) with everything you need and loads more. A haven of peace and rest in the heart of the countryside with beautiful landscape all around. Very friendly & helpful hosts who gave us a warm welcome. We will be back! |

| Cottage Review:
We had a fantastic time staying at Keeper's Cottage - beautiful surroundings,amazing views and a great cottage with everything you could need. We have stayed in a lot of self-catering cottages and this is definitely our favourite! A brilliant base for exploring the area and so peaceful at the cottage, it was wonderful. We really enjoyed the wildlife (thank you Allison for making sure the bird feeder was always full!), and the children loved the farm animals and the quad bike rides Allison very kindly took them on - we can't wait to return! |

| Cottage Review:
A fabulous relaxing holiday and probably our best ever (stay in a lot of self-catering cottages in North West and Scotland). We had a lovely relaxing time and hardly ventured out. The cottage was comfortable and the vast views from the conservatory were stunning. The Owner's were lovely and Allison went out of her way to make our holiday extra special (One of the party limited mobility and she kindly took her as a passenger on a quad-ride to a neighbouring friend's farm to look at the animals). |

The cottage is high on the fells with beautiful views. It is maintained to a very high standard and is extremely well equipped.We were warm and comfortable and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. |

| Cottage Review:
Peaceful and remote, with fantastic views from elevated location. Great for anyone wanting to get away from it all for a bit. Lots of great walks to be had in the surrounding area, but we spent most of the time just relaxing in the beautiful cottage itself! |

| Cottage Review:
We had a wonderful stay at Keepers Cottage in August,which offered a truly peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The comfortable,well equiped and tastefull accommodation provided a great base for exploring the wonderful hills and countryside that surround the cottage. The views from the cottage are spectacular, best enjoyed with a glass of wine in the conservatory at the end of a days walking or cycling! The warm and generous welcome from Allison and Owen was much appreciated. |
