Description of the holiday cottage
One of our finest Lake District cottages, Nethercroft is located in the village of Finsthwaite, one of a handful of small villages clustered close by and around the south western reach of Lake Windermere. Among Finsthwaite?s huddle of farms and houses the village also boasts a splendid church built by Paley & Austin in 1874, along with National Trust Stott Park Bobbin Mill.Sleeps: from 0 to 4

| Cottage Review:
Stayed for a family holiday and whilst the cottage was in a beautiful area I am afraid to say that it was not a pleasent experience. Upon arrival we found that the cleanliness of the cottage was not of a standard that we would expect from a five star cottage not filthy but grubby dirty pots and very dusty ect this was not a major problem however when we mentioned to the owners who live next to the cottage that we were not 100% pleased with having to clean the pots and the bathroom before we could use it due to pubic hair and what looked like blood in the bath we were treated to a torrent of abuse by the owners who screamed at us that we were not welcome and asked us to leave the property immediately bearing in mind that it was late evening and we had a six month baby with us we were obviously appalled at this lack of customer service and whilst the cottage company we booked through were able to mediate and sorted the issue it was an extremely upsetting experience I would not recommend this cottage to anyone for the price it was not up to scratch and the welcome was frosty to say the least!! |
