On warm summer days the French doors can be opened up to create an indoor/outdoor space, combining the garden terrace, the second living room and games room into one communal space. The outdoor terrace features a sheltered seating area with a large single table that can accommodate 24 guests as well as a large barbecue and gas heaters. Indoors, the spectacular dining room can also seat 24 people at the grand table; the room links through to the kitchen, equipped with all appliances and gadgets to facilitate catering for large groups, including an Aga, oven, microwave and hob along with American-style fridge freezers and dishwasher. The games room has seen many memorable weekend tournaments; both grown-ups and children will fall for the charms of this quirky room, with its perfect balance between historical features and modern touches and equipped with a pool table, table football, air hockey, a large flat screen and DVD library as well as a large fireplace.
