We recently stayed in this single-storage cottage, a beautifully and tastefully converted Milking Shed, situated to the rear of a working farm but still perfectly private with its own patio complete with tables and chairs and a bird-feeder which attracted numerous and colourful birds to keep us entertained and with uninterrupted views to the mountains beyond - in our case still snow-covered at this time of year (Mid-March). It also came complete with a resident cat - a fluffy, cream-coloured ball of fluff who would call every day, meow-wing pitifully at the patio doors in the hope that we would let him into the cottage - no chance! This is a pet-free cottage and the owners asked us to discourage him from entry to keep it that way! We loved the 5-star quality offered throughout and clearly a lot of thought has gone into its conversion with no expense spared in the quality of all the fixtures and fittings. It offers sleeping for up to 4 people with one double and one twin bedroom (which also has it's own TV). It's location is nigh-on perfect for those loving peace, quiet and gorgeous views but it is a challenging 3/4 mile trip up a steep-ish single-track tarmac road. We were warmly welcomed by Michelle, the owner, who explained where everything was and how it operated. This cottage is on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed which is about a mile away and gives access to the stunning Snowdonia National Park and it's many attractions - a paradise for anyone enjoying the outdoor life of walking, hiking, biking, etc., . The kitchen was fully equipped, including a dish-washer and washing machine and Michelle and Andy had kindly left a bottle of fresh local milk and some of their own free-range eggs as a welcome gift - both delightful! The central-heating was toasty and comfortable but I admit to being a bit of a pyromaniac so of course had to light the log-burner which gave a comforting ambience to the lounge in the evenings. An excellent supply of logs was included - and could be replenished upon request. The cottage is just over a mile from Betws-y-coed and, whilst it is possible to walk to the town, it is a steep-ish walk back. A perfect location for exploring all the many attractions in this area.
