| Cottage Review:
The property is located close to the centre of North Walsham - good for access to shopping etc. We were a party of 4, 2 couples in their 70s. At first glance the property looked quite appealing, the kitchen quite well equipped, BUT, Although it does sleep 6, seating is much more geared to 4. The breakfast bar could accommodate 3 with ease on the stools and a 4th at the end with less leg room. We did wonder how a family with children would manage if they wanted to eat meals at a table. The 'evening seating' also accommodated 4 comfortably. There were no instructions for operating the TV - someone had set all TV inputs to inactive. Fortunately as a techy person I was able to sort it. So called 'deep cleaning ' was also questionable - I took photographs of the ensuite shower which was quite grubby. It's difficult to have a shave in the ensuite as there is no electric shaving point and you have to lean sideways over the toilet to see the mirror . Bedding/duvets was clearly on the cheap. Perhaps more importantly, signage to find the place was obscure. 2 requests for help from locals produced blank results until one couple thought to search using a phone app. The sign is halfway down the drive, easy to fix. We won't be going there again! |
