What a wonderful week spent in perfect peace. This is a gem of a retreat and the owners have included touches of luxury to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We couldnt have asked for a better location...seals, birds,sunsets and nature walks. Will definitely return. Thank you |

We enjoyed a much-needed break away from it all in this converted outbuilding next to the lighthouse on South Walney Island nature reserve. Privately owned, on land managed by Cumbria Wildlife Trust. A truly remote place, 2.5 miles down an unmade road from the gate of the reserve. There are 2 other cottages, a larger one in the same ownership and also let, and a cottage with a private resident. We spent spring bank holiday 2018 here with our 2 young grand kids. It is such a lovely spot, found it to be a comfortable and very well equipped modern cottage. The owners are friendly and very helpful. |
