Description of the holiday cottage
The Margarets holiday cottage in Beer sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. The Margarets in Beer is five hundred yards up from the centre of the village, a smart terraced house. At the back, a sheltered enclosed courtyard (table/chairs, barbecue) with steep steps up to two terraces with summer house (toys), enclosed decking (table/chairs) and views of village rooftops.
Inside The Margarets, you will find a modern seaside feel with stripped wood, seagrass flooring and cool coastal colours. At the front, steps up from parking space to hall (for coats/boots). Comfortable living room (TV/DVD) with wood floor (rugs); neat fitted kitchen/dining room (slimline dishwasher, microwave) with tiled floor and table/chairs in the middle, cupboard with washer-drier; utility room with fridge-freezer; shower-room (suite); door to courtyard.
Stairs (stairgates) up to three stylish bedrooms including a double bedroom with a TV/DVD looking over the courtyard, a twin (zip-linkable to 6 foot double), and another twin (truckle, limited clothes-hanging space); compact bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Best for maximum of 5 adults. Modern, stylish and comfortable and handy for harbour, beach, pub and coastal walks.

| Cottage Review:
The Margarets is in a great location, although be mindful it's accessible via steps and situated on a hill so if mobility is an issue think again. Additionally, if like us you have a baby with you, it is tricky getting a pushchair up and down the steps. The parking space is for a small car only and unless your parallel parking is top notch you may find it difficult to negotiate especially when arriving in the dark. That said, the neighbour came out and kindly moved his car to allow us to park easily as he's very used to the tight spot! There is a public c |

We loved our stay at The Margarets. The cottage is fantastic - super comfy beds, very clean & excellently equipped. Well positioned in Beer & a parking space! We spent an extremely happy holiday here. |

From the moment we arrived we were very impressed with the standard of 'The Margarets'. The d?cor and thoughtfulness of the property is fantastic. The kitchen is brilliantly well equipped with everything we could think of! The beds are comfy and the shower is great too. It has the most attention to detail of any rental we have ever stayed in. Beer is just lovely. We came for Regatta week and there was lots to do! We would recommend the walks to Seaton and Branscombe (perhaps get the bus home though!), Lyme Regis (NOT Charmouth - awful beach!) Sidmouth. We |
