The Old School House holiday cottage in Lustleigh on Dartmoor in Devon is a character Dartmoor stone built holiday cottage that sleeps 4 people. The Old School House is dog friendly and set in the heart of Lustleigh, a great location if you are looking for a traditional Dartmoor holiday cottage with a lot of character and wonderful gardens.

The Old School House is situated in the heart of Lustleigh with lovely views over the village and churchyard with countryside beyond, a semi-detached Victorian cottage, once the infants part of a school dating from 1876. Mostly to the front, a pretty garden surrounds it on two levels with your own two patios (tables/chairs, barbecue, chimenea) and terraced lawn from which to enjoy this sleepy little village and the gorgeous view, and which opens to the friendly owners' adjoining garden.

From the pretty garden at The Old School House in Lustleigh, there is a door into living room with woodburner, TV/DVD and piano. Fitted kitchen/dining room (slimline dishwasher, washing machine, microwave). Shower-room (suite). Stairs up to two bedrooms, both with period beams and wrought iron supports (some low, padding provided!) and VDU/DVD including a double (5 foot bed) with gallery looking through toughened glass (curtains) to downstairs, and one with two singles; loo.

A lovely spot, 150 yards from tea room, pub and shop, with many scenic walking routes from the door.

Cottage Review:   Having stayed at the schoolhouse for many years we are always finding interest , beauty , and friendliness .The schoolhouse position with its garden overlooking the village is ideal to allow time to sit and stare .The house is comfortable and with so many walks starting from the front door.Having visited and stayed in the village for over 40yrs. we always look forward to returning .
