| Cottage Review:
I love military history so I was super excited to discover The Transmitter Bunker. Nestled in a field in deepest Dorset, this was the most unique place I?ve ever stayed. The restoration has been sympathetic and much of the original concrete is featured. I loved seeing the photo book of the restoration that the owners have left for visitors to read. The view from the south facing terrace is stunning and there is a lovely table and chairs to chill out in the evening watching the sun go down. The kitchen is small but very well equipped and the main bedroom is comfy. There?s a log burner and underfloor heating so it will always be cosy whatever the time of year. I can?t fault it at all. A truly unique and interesting place to stay for a peaceful couple of days. |
