Townend holiday cottage is a large holiday house on Dartmoor in South Zeal that sleeps up to 11 people with six bedrooms and benefits from an outdoor swimming pool. With plenty of space both inside and outdoors, Townend is a holiday house that has been renovated throughout to a very high standard, it even has a table in the lounge that converts into a table tennis table.

If you are searching for a holiday cottage on Dartmoor that sleeps 11 and is dog friendly, Townend in South Zeal has plenty to offer including off street parking and Wi-Fi broadband and is also child friendly. The kitchen at Townend in South Zeal is to die for, complete with an Aga cooker that has a two ring hob as well as an additional electric cooker, the kitchen combines modern and quality tradition seamlessly.

Well-planned with its own TV, microwave oven and inset Belfast sink by the window, this is a beautiful area to relax and enjoy. To one side of the kitchen is a breakfast area with a large solid wood table and benches and to the other side of the kitchen is a more formal dining area with a huge and intricately carved wooden table set by patio doors.

There is a large and roomy living room at Townend in South zeal that also benefits from a wood burner and a piano, a gorgeous room with exposed oak beams and plenty of space with a wood burner set in inglenook in the corner and flatscreen TV. There is also an additional snug/lounge area that also has a wood burner set in a large inglenook fireplace along with sofas and chairs and has a flatscreen TV.

These are all connected through the very large hallway complete with tasteful furniture and wooden floors with a beautiful sweeping staircase. The washer and dryer as well as the freezer are located in the scullery and there is a downstairs toilet. From the hallway at Townend, stairs sweep up to the first floor that has a total of five bedrooms and three bathroom or shower rooms.

This includes a double bedroom with its own en-suite shower room, wash hand basin and WC as well as window seat. There is an additional double bedroom and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is also a twin bedroom that has two single beds that can be linked together to form a 6 foot bed as well as a further double bedroom with great views and a shower room as well as bathroom.

On the second floor there is a cinema and playroom complete with a huge wall mounted flatscreen cinema system as well as table football and a mini snooker table and a further double bedroom that benefits from stunning views.

Set in beautiful gardens that are very well kept and established, there are fantastic views as well as a range of pubs to visit, many within walking distance. Cottage Review:   Lovely house with everything you could need for a happy and comfortable stay. Plenty of room for everyone and the cinema room and pool table were a particular hit! Oxenham Arms in the village was a lovely venue for a Christmas meal.

Cottage Review:   Could not fault a single thing about this beautiful house. It had everything we needed and more! Cinema room for watching Euros and Wimbledon, sitting around and dipping in the pool made us feel like we were abroad! Fantastic walks from the door for all abilities. The pubs in the village were great and the small shop very well stocked. The gardens are amazing and the beds were so comfy. Would highly recommend.

Cottage Review:   Really great property for a family gathering, beautiful village and lots of walking easily from the house. The owners were lovely and very accommodating and helpful. We will look forward to a return visit

Cottage Review:   Lovely house that made a wonderful holiday even better. They really had thought of everything. From the playroom to the cinema room, huge garden and swimming pool, all ages were catered for. Good shop, pub and resturant nearby in the village. Would definately recommend.
