This cottage is a lovely place. Clean and very tastefully decorated. Bedding and towels of a high quality. Everything you need is there for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed our welcome pack!!!

Must say there is a large step into property and cottage on over 3 floors which could be an issue for some folk but if you actually read the description of the cottage all these things are mentioned so I don't think there is any room to complain on that score.

Little outside sitting area which is shared but we had no issues with anyone from the 2 other cottages. Infact the couple who actually live there with 2 friendly dogs were very helpful and gave us some tips on restaurants and little walks for our older dog to manage.

All in all we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to others but would also recommend that description of cottage should be read fully before booking as this cottage is so comfy and only a short 5 min walk by the water into town. Will definitely be returning next year.

Do not book Waters Edge in Bakewell if you are disabled in any way as there are steps up and down here there and everwhere outside and within the property. Furthermore the kitchen is very compact with virtually nowhere to store any provisions. The worst thing of all is the nosey neighbour next door always watching everthing thats going on. It was impossoble to use the table and chairs outside as it is within a communal shared yard with signs stating to keep the communal gate closed due to loose dogs. The dogs in question belong to the nosey neighbour two of them that constantly bark every time you come in and out of the communal gate or use the outside area. BE AWARE if you like peace and quite and value your privacy. We cut a full week short to only a two day stay as we felt highly intimidated. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY plus the property is not very central its quite a walk into the town centre.
