| Cottage Review:
Great location in a really historic part of Port Isaac, near the pub, harbour etc, and a lovely place for me to get away end of January, read books and spend time with my partner - a very romantic place, with so much character! However, the radiators DO NOT work, (and although radiators are not mentioned in the description, the storage heaters are...but there is only one storage heater on the landing, and this does not heat the upstairs. The towel radiator in the bathroom also does not provide enough heat. I was on my own the first 2 nights, and panicked as I couldn't work out whether the radiators should work or not, and there was nothing in the guest guides to tell me. The first night I had to sleep in a hat, with the bedroom door open to let any heat from the landing in, but my face was still freezing and I didn't sleep well. The second night I gave up and lay for a few hours on the floor by the open fire. The third night the boyfriend brought an electric heater for us. For £467 for 3 nights, I feel like I wasted my money. It was end of January and mid summer is probably fine. |
