Bridport is famous for its rope making and net making with the Bridport Museum showcasing this heritage. Bridport has a great high street with a range of of independent shops, cafes and art galleries as the town has a long history in the arts. There are weekly markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays with fresh local produce on offer as well as antiques and crafts that reflect the thriving local arts scene. The landscape around Bridport is a patchwork of green hills and valleys with the River Brit flowing through. Nearby is West Bay, famous for its cliffs set by the beach and the location for the TV series Broadchurch.
