Holsworthy is a small market town located in West Devon, England about 9 miles from Bude and 23 miles from Exeter. Holsworthy is known for its historic farmers market, which has been going since the 12th century and runs every Wednesday. The town square is the focal point with traditional Devon stone buildings and a great selection of independent shops, pubs, and cafes. Holsworthy is not far from the rugged beauty of the North Devon coast and the West Cornwall coast or the wild expanse of Dartmoor National Park.
Holsworthy is ideal if you are looking for a bit of real Devon, away from the touristy areas, it is always pretty quiet here and the town retains a traditional farming community and Devon feel. It is also an easy drive to Bude so if you want a day at the beach or to visit the sea pool, it's really easy to get too. You can also visit Hartland Abbey and the great walk along the coastal path or just walk around the country lanes that are buzzing with nature. There are some great holiday cottages here if you want to take a holiday in Holsworthy for couples and families. If you can't find anything suitable, find local Holsworthy holiday parks here. A great base, this is real Devon, without the tourists and beautiful walks along the Devon lanes and footpaths.
