Dobwalls is a small village about three miles west of the market town of Liskeard in West Cornwall. Dobwalls offers a traditional Cornish welcome with great accessibility to surrounding attractions, Bodmin Moor and the beaches at Looe and Polperro as it lies near the A38. Dobwalls has a close-knit community with a local pub and shop.
The village is not a major tourist hub and thus retains a strong sense of community with lots of local activities through the year. It is ideal though if you are looking for a base to explore Cornwall, with Liskeard nearby and easy access to both the north and south coasts. The area around Looe and Polperro is the nearest in terms of beaches, more popular and busy with tourists during the summer months so you can escape that in Dobwalls. There is a very good selection of holiday homes and cottages in the Dobwalls area, everything from large and modern to Cornish and quaint. If you can’t find a holiday cottage, possibly the best area to search for alternative accommodation are the holiday parks around Looe and Polperro as there are a good number by the sea. This is a great base for exploring Cornwall as all of the major trunk roads are nearby.
