
Goonhavern is a small village in Cornwall in the parish of Perranzabuloe and is about 2.5 miles from Perranporth,possibly one of the best beaches in the country, great for surfing and beach based family holidays. It is near the A3075, which connects to Newquay, roughly six miles away and Truro is about 8 miles away. The village is home a local shop, a garden center and a traditional pub, The New Inn, which is a popular pub with both locals and tourists, great beer and food and comes very well recommended.
There are caravan parks and holiday cottages in and around Goonhavern, catering to visitors looking for a quiet retreat. Perranporth Beach is large sandy beach known for surfing and beautiful coastal walks. The South West Coast Path is a short drive away, offering breathtaking views of Cornwall's rugged coastline and probably easiest accessed from Perranporth. Holywell Bay is another fantastic beach within a short drive, great surf and sand dunes with a National Trust car park. There are a good number of holiday cottages in Goonhavern her plus nearby Perranporth caravan sites that are really close to the beach. A great location, Goonhavern is easy to get to and has some of the best beaches nearby.
