Polperro is a popular fishing village with tourists on the southeast coast of Cornwall. A draw for holidaymakers with its picturesque harbor, narrow winding streets and traditional Cornish fishermens cottages, it’s a really pretty village to visit. The village is in a steep wooded valley with the Pol River running through to the sea and the harbour area is the heart of the community. Today there are still fishermen bringing in the daily catch and there are some great seafood places to eat here as well. The village has a number of independent shops, art galleries and harbour side pubs like the Blue Peter Inn or the Three Pilchards.
Polperro’s is set right by the sea and if you like walking, the South West Coast Path goes from either side and offers some fantastic walks with stunning sea views. The village has a small, pebbly beach and also has the Polperro Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing, a very interesting place to visit for the whole family. Have a look at Polperro holiday cottages here, from traditional cottages to modern homes and if you need more help, have a look here for nearby caravan and lodge parks in Polperro and Looe. A great place to explorre the south coast of Cornwall and there are some fantastic beachse along this stretch of coastline.
