
Marazion is most famous as the gateway to St Michael's Mount, you have probably seen it on the tv many times! This is a tidal island with a medieval castle and church at the top and can be reached by a causeway during low tide or by boat at high tide. Visitors can explore the castle, gardens and enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline and the beaches around Marazion. Marazion beach has shallow and clean waters, making it ideal for families with young children and is very popular during the summer months. It’s an amazing place really, you have a great beach with the mount in the background, lovely fine sand and clear waters, it does get busy in the summer months!
Marazion has narrow Cornish streets lined with quaint fishermen’s cottages, art galleries and local craft shops. The restaurants here are known for their fresh seafood and traditional Cornish ale and food is served at the local pubs, plus there are several cafes and restaurants. Marazion has great road links and is close to the town of Penzance which is also well known for its art galleries and seafood. There are lots of Marazion holiday cottages for you to explore here and a few nearby caravan sites and holiday parks around Penzance and the surrounding villages.
