Lanreath is a picturesque village in Cornwall, known for its tranquil location and set in the rolling countryside, it is 5 miles west of Looe and within easy reach of the Cornish coastline and fabulous south coast beaches. The village's roots history goes back to medieval times and it retains many historical buildings including the 13th century St. Marnarch’s Church which is a Grade I listed building.
The village is home to quaint cottages, some of which are centuries old, made with traditional Cornish slate and stone. Lanreath is also a haven for walkers and nature lovers with a number of good walks from the village and is not as busy as many of the more coastal villages with tourists. Being close to the popular seaside towns of Looe and Polperro, Lanreath is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall’s dramatic coastline, sandy beaches and south coast fishing villages.
There is actually a very large selection of holiday cottages in and around the village with a number on a nearby lodge park. You can also find more lodges and caravans in Looe and Polperro here as they are also nearby. The majority of places to stay here are lodges, great value for money!
